ZeroKey, the web app with a mission to help eliminate manual data entry for financial advisers, has integrated with investment platform Fundment.

A lack of integration and the need to manually key client data is frequently cited as a major pain point by financial advisers. This latest development therefore helps advice firms gain easier access to the data they have stored within their Fundment account and, crucially, enables the same data to be moved into third-party technology without manual intervention.

With ZeroKey acting as a conduit, users can pull client data and documents from Fundment and push it into new destinations. This includes policies into third-party technology such as fund research and analysis tools – the data includes policy name, type, number, and valuation, as well as fund information and more.

Following connections with all major adviser back-office systems, this integration represents ZeroKey’s first with an adviser platform.

From account opening to deep integration

The latest integration between ZeroKey and Fundment follows initial developments made last year. This includes functionality that helps streamline the account opening process into Fundment.

With ZeroKey again acting as a conduit, these enhancements enable client data to be pulled from third-party adviser technology and pushed into Fundment, meaning clients can be added without manual data entry.

Save time, retain data integrity

Ola Abdul, CEO of Fundment, said: “This integration with ZeroKey represents another step forward in creating a more connected advice ecosystem. Financial advisers shouldn't have to waste valuable time on manual data entry when technology can seamlessly handle these processes. At Fundment, we're committed to breaking down technological barriers, and this integration allows advisers to leverage their data more effectively across multiple sources, ultimately delivering better outcomes for their clients.”

Joseph Williams, co-founder and CEO of ZeroKey, added: “Fundment was one of the first companies to provide us with API access, so it’s fantastic to finally announce what we have built. It’s also great to provide them and their users with new connections and functionality that previously didn’t exist. For example, by eliminating manual data entry and making the account opening process as frictionless as possible, we can help users save time whilst also retaining the data’s integrity.”

The integration comes shortly after Fundment announced a £45m investment in the business to drive further product development and innovation. It also follows news the adviser platform recorded a full-year profit in the year to 31 July 2024, following a doubling of revenues.
